Sewing Machine care

•Keep your machine turned off and covered when not in use.

•Do not store it by a heat source. (Forced Air)

•Do not over oil or grease.

•Keep Oil away from motor, circuit boards or electrical components.

•Only use appropriate Oil and Grease. Others will rust, corrode, and seize up bushings and gears.

•Do not blow or push lint into machine. It will damage other parts.

•Sew slow if you your concerned the needle may hit or machine jam up.

•Bunching up or breaking thread?

Rethread top and bottom while making sure your thread is activating the take up spring

Thread your machine with the  presser foot up.

•Have your machine professionally cleaned every 1-3 years.

•Removal of old grease and oil that cause gears & Bushings to break and seize up.

Most common issues and cause

•Jamming

Not correctly threaded (Thread take up, Check spring, Tension disks)

Needle is not in all the way or in wrong. (Flat side …see owners manual)

Try different thread.

Burr on needle plate, bobbin case or Hook. (Mechanic may be Necessary)

•Ticking noise or needle hitting something

Is needle in all the way or in wrong. (Flat side …see owners manual)

Bent or damaged needle. (Change needle)

Is Bobbin case in correctly?

Bobbin Case clearances. (Mechanic Necessary)

Hook, Feed or pendulum timing. (Mechanic Necessary)

Skipping stitches, knot is not in the center of fabric & bunching

Check Threading. (See manual or above for common issues)

Once confirmed, adjust the upper tension so it’s knotting in the center of the fabric.
